Hey, everyone!
Every week on Twitter we do a round-up of the latest news and developments from the world of Bitcoin, Lightning, and Nostr. And every month, we round up the most noteworthy things we’ve covered and put them into this newsletter!
This newsletter is designed to help you find signal in a sea of noise. There’s a lot happening in these ecosystems, and it can be hard to keep up with it all. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
So here are some recent highlights.
Share Your Trades from Kollider Exchange
We shipped a new feature that allows you to export and share your trades. This was requested by several of our users, likely so they could show off their trading skills. Don’t worry if the trade didn’t go your way, though— all negative trades include a QR code to solicit donations to your rekt recovery fund!

Konstantin on The Kevin Rooke Show
Our CEO Konstantin joined Kevin Rooke for a podcast episode to talk Kollider, trading, Lightning derivatives, synthetic fiat, and a bunch more.
Taproot Assets Updates
Lightning Labs has officially released the latest version of Taproot Assets (formerly called Taro)! If you’re curious about Taproot Assets and how to get started testing them today, we recommend reading the post in its entirety.
Ark - A New L2 for Bitcoin
There’s a new layer two in town— it’s called Ark and it's being developed by Burak Keceli and his team. Ark attempts to solve some of the inherent problems in Lightning, most notably inbound liquidity and Lightning’s on-chain footprint. It’s a super interesting proposal and we’re excited to see more from this team.
We put together a thread talking about Ark and some of our favorite resources for learning more about it.
Damus vs. Apple
Damus, one of the most popular Nostr clients for iOS, has been engaged in an ongoing battle with Apple over its integration of Zaps (aka micropayments with Lightning).
Apple Insider recently covered the story in more detail. This battle doesn’t just have to do with Damus, though. It gets to the core of an issue with Apple's extreme policies around in-app payments, which could affect a lot of players in the Bitcoin ecosystem. This has caused prominent voices like Jack Dorsey and others to weigh in and encourage Apple to revisit these policies.
Bitcoin 2023
Bitcoin 2023 went down in Miami last month. If you didn’t get the opportunity to go, no worries. Here are a few of our favorite segments from the conference:
