Using BTC, USD, and EUR on Kollider Wallet
In today’s post, we’re going to walk you through some of the cool features enabled by Kollider Wallet’s native synthetic stablecoins.
Kollider Wallet allows you to store your balances in BTC, USD, or EUR. This enables you to easily manage your funds, deciding which funds you hold in which currencies based on your own spending and savings needs. We’ve also implemented a number of tools to make it easy for you to manage these balances— with full control over how you save, spend, and swap between them.
Deposit Into Any Balance
Your wallet can hold separate BTC, USD, and EUR balances, and you can deposit directly into any of these balances.
There are two ways to do this. You can select a balance within the wallet, enter an amount, and then create and pay an invoice. Even though the payment will happen in sats over the Lightning Network, it will immediately deposit into your selected fiat account.
You can also do this when using other Lightning Network apps and services. Whenever you click a QR code to auto-generate a deposit (like we’re doing on Stacker News below), you’ll be able to select which balance the deposit is added to.
Spend from Any Balance
Kollider Wallet also allows you to spend from any of your balances.
To spend directly from within the wallet, simply select the balance you’d like to spend from. You’ll be able to enter an invoice, a Lightning Address, or an amount to prompt the payment.
When you’re using Lightning apps and services on the web, you can easily make payments by clicking on a QR code invoice. The wallet will pop up a prompt that again allows you to select which balance you’d like to use to pay the invoice.
Swap Between Balances
Finally, Kollider Wallet makes it easy to swap between balances without ever leaving the wallet.
Just navigate to the swaps tab in the wallet, select your trading pair, and hit “Swap.”
This will enable an instantaneous exchange between your selected pair, which will immediately become available in your wallet.
